METHOD:

The cold process method of soap making does not use any external heat. The soap mixture is saponified at room temperature.

Once the soap mixture is poured in the moulds, it takes 24 - 48 hours to harden into a soap block which is then hand cut into smaller bars. The smaller bars are placed on a soap drying rack and are left to cure naturally for 4 – 6 weeks, to remove excess moisture which makes the soap bar harder.

PRODUCTION:

Saponification is an age-old chemical process where triglycerides found in vegetable oils are mixed with aqueous lye (sodium hydroxide (NaOH), or potassium hydroxide (KOH), dissolved into water), both being at the same temperature. The butters are melted to add to the liquid oils.

Our artisanal fresh goat milk soaps are hand made in small batches, hand poured, hand cut and hand packed in a methodical approach.

FORM:

The geometric design of our soap is derived from the need to have minimum contact with the soap dish which helps to make the soap bar last longer.

PRIMARY PACKAGING:

We use Polyolefin sheet to wrap our fresh, preservative-free goat milk soaps to keep them away from mold.
